I bet you damn right that he would agree with me! That is all.@@@@@@@@@@
ARE YOU FREAKING SERIOUS?!?!?
*dies* god I swear I hope Zoey dies in this book -.- and her creepy grandmother too, if she hasn't already.....
Just, wow.
And just to clear things up guys, I REALLY do enjoy the plot, of the whole vampire school and how you turn into a vampire and how Zoey's family practically abandoned her(excuse me it's been a whole since reading it), and the whole sick vampires. But honestly? They stretched it out too far. All good things must come to an end, but if they're really that good then thu would stay for a while. Take Harry Potter for an example. Hunger Games. I mean you don't see freaking Rowling bring Dumbledor back in the last movie as a vampire who eats flesh! Or Finnick comming back in the fifth book as he freaking goes back to his lover, yet it's right after she moved on. No. And that's why it's so damn popular. Come on! Even TWILIGHT has a better ending!! Lol it's sad that it's come to that... Whatever, in the end, the characters disgust me, and I hate how the authors try to attract the youth by saying the stupidest shit ever, I mean really, those people that talk like Zoey, yeah they arn't even interested in reading actuall literature. I'm sorry, if you don't like this review, then you can read another one, cuz I'm keeping this up, 50+ people agree with me and I wanna see it get to 100 lol(: I'm not a hater, I just dislike the characters, alot. The plot, the main plot of the school and society and vampire nature, I like. That's pretty much it. Zoey I hope you die while having sex with your gazzilion bfs lol(you know you wish the same thing, deep down) seriously just let Aohrodite or Stevie become the main character, or no, just end the series.

So... I'm gonna add on to this cuz I feel like being a dush! *yay!!!*
Anyway, first off, to anyone who doesn't like this, I have over 150+ people that agree with me. Do you have that many likes? Yeah, you get to that then come back and comment...
As for the people(powwow woweww typo lol) that liked this, YOU ARE AWESOME YOU LITTLE STAR CHILDREN MINIONS!!! <3 don't forget that I likz sooooooo heartz YEWWWW!!!!
And that way my impression of Zoey... *duh duh dis!*
Over all, I also wanted to add another thing:
So, I've been noticing the whole "I'M TEAM____! But a HATE zoey!"
No. Don't be a freaking hipster. Face it, you like zoey, because if your on a team, then you are giving what Zoey wants. And of zoey wants teams, she will have leaders (ehm boys) so no, I'm not on a freaking team. I don't even know who the hell this stark guy is. Like SERIOUSLY, shouldn't he be in star wars??? What the hell is he doing in a YA vampire so called wanna be 'littarature'? I'm sorry, but no. Just no. You don't like this review? Hey, alot of people have read at least some of the series. I'm pretty sure you can read their review(if you can read at all...) or make your likz own were yew can likz, make yewr oun reviewwwww!
Hey... Do you guys remember how in the begging of Marked how Zoey caught Aphrodite giving Erich a blowjob? Haha, now I bet that she's giving everyone one. You know those free huh signs? Nah, they're free blowjobs(: you guy, in the back, reading this, I bet you wished for a girl like that right? Yeah!(No .___.) she might end up as a prostitute. Hey the girl needs money. Right? Pay those bills... Those food stamps are not enough for her and her children, so....
F*ck it I'm done, peace! <3

I'm sorry. That's how I imagine huge fans of this series talk. I'm sorry, I'd rather take Twilight over this any day. The Casts are going to fart out another book and earn tons of money again.
Yay for humanity.
***edit, 25/7
I've realised that several huge fans of HON have taken this review personally and have been offended. I would like to extend my sincerest apologies to those who do. I assure you, I did not mean to personally offend anyone by this, unless of course, you do talk like that.
In which case, you need a dictionary. Immediately.
This review was to criticize the Casts for their almost delinquent perspective of teenagers these days. As a teen myself, I do not feel Zoey and her cardboard friends are relatable at all. My patience has admittedly worn thin by these books that seem to persistently insult the intelligence of every teenager with a decent awareness of literature. To be honest, the constant "poop"s, "pop"s and "I heart you"s have made me think the authors are slightly obnoxious—
"Obnoxy-whaaaat?" Erin chirped.
"Erin," Damien sighed. "It means annoying, or attracting undue attention to oneself."
"Whatever, Mr. Smarty Pants."
Thank you, sudden input from the characters of this series. This sudden burst of "knowledge" from Damien's part has happened in the books before. The Casts indeed take the opposite of "show don't tell," to a whole new level. Hanging plot points, missing favourite cuddly toys of a sort that seemed to have disappeared from book one, characters indecisive of their death-statuses and idiotic language used has led me to perceive the huge fans of this series this way in my review, simply because it it clearly how the authors perceive them. If you're nothing like this hypothetical idiot I have constructed above, I would like to congratulate you on your achievement so far.
Anyway, despite the attempt at humour, I do genuinely wish to extend my apology to those who feel offended. And if they still feel like I am insulting their intelligence, I ask that they simply look no further than this series and realise who is really offensive here.
With my sincerest apologies, I hope this gif brightens your day, because it did to mine.
Seriously, everytime I look at it I burst out laughing.

[INSERT THE ACTUAL REVIEW HERE]
Oh. Hey there guys… Umm… 82 likes huh? Wow. *swallows*
*waves* Hi everyone. Thanks. A lot. A ton.
So it occurred to me that a hell lot of people seem to connect with my thoughts on the House Of Night series. Honestly, I'm not that good with reviews. I don't think I have it in me to spout things like, "inconsistent verb tenses!" and other technicalities like that. The first book I read was Charlotte's Web when I was five, and I pretty much learned English just from reading. Hell, I don't even remember learning phonics, I was just able to adapt and know how to read.
That said, I felt like I owed it to the bajillion of you who liked my Review-That-Wasn't-Really-A-Review.
So I sighed, made sure I got a copy of the book without having to spend a penny, set aside all expectations of joy or mirth and started to read the goddamned book.
And here's what I have to say about it: It was one dull motherf*cking book.
BUT WAIT. It was dull, but I will say that it wasn't as bad as a few of the previous books. There was an attempt to not appear like another cash grab. Other than that however, the book was still absolutely dull.
As I read the book, my one thought throughout the experience (besides: What if the world spontaneously combusted and killed the whole bloody lot of them, putting me out of my misery?) was that the book was incredibly, persistently, repetitively unsophisticated. Here's what I mean.
--Note, I'm including a shitload of quotes to help prove my point. There are few spoilers, but still, if you really don't want to 'spoil the experience', don't read beyond this point.
1. Let's be patronizing to the tweens, the poor darlings.
So it seems that the Casts are using their age-old trick of trying to tell their fans, you're not alone, not only do my characters not have three-dimensional personalities, but their vocabulary is atrocious as well!
Presenting: A whole new level of Telling and not Showing!
Aphrodite: "Gay Boy's all atwitter, or atitter, or whatever."But a few pages later: "You are no good at espionage at all."
Apparently, Aphrodite's vocabulary is bad, but sometimes quite good. Hmm. Depth, or inconsistency? Let me give you a hint; it's the latter."It's about time the House of Night is aware that there are prodigious forces of good working on our side against all that Darkness."
"Prodigious means real big." Stevie Rae translated.
Translated? What did they think she was speaking, Klingon? "Erik, you're not making it any better by being a misogynist."
"Misogynist…that's bad right? Nothing cool, like a gynecologist?"
Jesus Christ. This man, folks, was a teacher. A teacher. Not knowing what 'misogynist' means is one thing, and thinking a gynecologist has a 'cool' job is another. What is this man, 11 years old? Sometimes I wonder why the Casts persist in turning him into a child. Damien tapped quickly on his iPad and lifted it so we could all see. "TORN ASUNDER = TORN TO PIECES."
Hey. Hey Damien. I'll tell you where you can shove your iPad: Up your- "Good. Some people say fuck yoga. I say fuck figurative language. And no, I don't mean that figuratively."
...So, you meant it... literally.
And this, ladies and gentlemen, was the source of ten whole minutes of laughing my buttocks off. Figuratively.
2. Preach, sista! Preach it!
So in this latest installment of the House of Night series, the Casts put in an effort to impart wisdom to the younglings. The entire book is convoluted with thinly veiled, precisely-spelled-out-for-you advice. You have to give the Casts credit for trying. What you have the admit thought, is that it's difficult to take these authors seriously when these are the very same people who seemed to be perfectly okay when Aphrodite forced a blowjob on Erik. Raping a man, apparently, is okay, but free will? Oh HELLZ NAW. And so we much PREACH IT! AGAIN. AND. AGAIN.
3. Let's all just watch our friend Erin turn evil, like there's nothing we f*cking can do!
The twins *spoiler* separate into different paths in this book, in an obvious attempt to add more depth to the characters. What puzzled me greatly, however, was that her own sister watched Erin descend into an abrupt, out-of-character descent into the darkness, without doing any bloody thing about it.
"Erin's colors are different than they used to be. I noticed it a couple of days ago.""She's changing," Aphrodite said.
WELL GO AND TALK TO HER, YOU INCOMPETENT SORRY-ASS TWATS. All they do in the book is speak of Erin behind her back, wonder what is going on instead of thinking, hey, let's stop being self-absorbed in our own worlds and turn our attention to a friend that CLEARLY NEEDS DIRECTION. Surprise, surprise, the goddess Nyx isn't the only one who can show people the way. To my knowledge, friends are there to help each other in dark times. Fat lot of help you guys offered.
4. Soul-sucking, death-inciting, mind-bogglingly retarded dialogue. "He squeezed me. "That's cool, as long as you don't start bawling. The whole snot cry thing you do is seriously unattractive."I punched him playfully. "I never cry."
"Oh, yeah, that's right, and you never snot, either," he said, smiling his cocky, cute grin at me.
"I know! Amazing, right?" I teased.
"Riiiight." He drew the word out.
Ohmygod, I don't want to burn this book! Amahzing rightt gaiz?
Riiiight.
Thanatos smiled. "I am most appreciative."
"I am in agreement with her," Damien said.
"I am in agreement with you, my beauty," said Darius grimly.
Who the hell says "I am in agreement with you?" Sometimes the Casts try and sound relatable. Other times, they are so unrelatable, they might as well be aliens.
"We need to tell Thanatos, also," Aphrodite said as the three of us started to walk toward her classroom. "Her affinity is Death. It makes sense that she understands ghosts or whatever.""Why don't we just put it in the Tulsa World and have Neferet write a damn Q and A about it?" I said.
"That's almost a cuss word. Watch yourself. Damn is an entry word. Next thing you know, fuck will be flying out of your mouth," Aphrodite said.
"Flying fuck? That just sounds wrong," Stevie Rae told her, shaking her head.
Hey. Hey guys.
(*Cough* Sorry, I honestly couldn't help it guys.)
5. Holier-than-thou Zoey Redbird, spouting condescending bullshit everywhere.
*Cracks fingers* Let's get started shall we?
"Just because the cat wasn't one of yours doesn't make its death any more awful." Erik sounded way more mature than usual.
Shaylin thought about that for a while, and I sipped my brown pop. I was actually liking talking to her.
We hearted us some Chera. Not only was she vampyre-level beautiful, but she was an actual person, versus the usual plastic talking heads news anchor types.
And Nicole, as in the Nicole who was a super mean red fledgling and Darius' skanky, hateful girlfriend, was collapsed on a bench with a couple of human EMTs hovering around her like she was some gold-winged baby Jesus.
6. Lastly, the ever self-absorbed Zoey.
I wanted to go with my friends and help them get the stabled cleaned up. I wanted to find Stark and have him hold my hand and tease me about over-worrying and the Internet health symptom googling. Mostly I wanted to forget about the stupid Seer Stone around my neck and focus on something that made more sense-like hateful red fledglings and homework. But I knew Thanatos had been right. We would need all out gifts to have a chance at even keeping Darkness at bay.
Now, I know where the Casts were heading for. All that whining of "I'm too young to save the world!" and crap was to show that Zoey was changing and evolving. That instead of doing what she wanted and what was normal to her, she chose the difficult path.
What bugs me, however, is the need to show whiny Zoey at all. We spent the last NINE books in the company of whiny Zoey. Do the Casts not think, hey, if Zoey were to immediately react with maturity, responsibility and intelligence, our readers would realise for themselves that Zoey is growing up? What continues to bug me is the need to spell everything out. "GOOD VOCAB HERE!" "AWESOME LIFE LESSONS!" "MATURITY IN A TEENAGER!" "LOVE IS THE ANSWER!" It's too much, too dull, too repetitive and completely unsophisticated. It's patronizing and painful to read. This book was just another wash, rinse and repeat of the same treatment from the Casts, and I don't think anyone was surprised or will be surprised by it at all.
Phew. I'm done! I hope the review helped anyone out there curious about Hidden. This was one long-ass review, and it feels terrific to get it off my shoulders. In my opinion, don't waste your money on this when you have books like Daughter of Smoke and Bone and Unearthly. For now, I'm just going to find other means to forget the torturous experience of reading another HON novel.

I feel so frustrated by the writing sometimes, it just... UGHHHHH.
If I were Zoey and her friends, Neferet would be DEAD. I mean, why doesn't Stark just use his magical ability of not being able to miss a shot to shoot Neferet in the head, and she'd be dead! I mean come on, Stark, if you wanted Zoey to be happy you'd kill Neferet and take her out of her misery. Make her happy! Unless he wants her to be miserable so he can comfort her... Oh Stark y

Ugh. Another one? This series should've ended books ago, but now every time a new House of Night comes out, I ask myself, why do I even bother? Because, let's be real, between main villain / evil vampire Neferet being more resilient than a cockroach, Zoey and the gang's obnoxious petty drama, and the million side characters carefully crafted to take up space in lieu of real plots, these books have been treading water for awhile and sinking fast.
But, as they say, if you get enough monkeys on enough typewriters over enough time, they'll produce Shakespeare. Oh, and reams of excrement smeared pages. Hidden is really no different, this thing has been stretched over so many books after pages and pages of turds it was bound to hit something. Like firing a machine gun wildly in a three hundred sixty arc. So yeah, I'll grudgingly admit, this book isn't terrible like Awakened was terrible (Aurox lol) - as a standalone, ignoring continuity issues, bits and pieces here and there aren't half-bad - but I am frikkin tired of reading a series that's a battle of inches, like watching a bug crawling up a tree or something. I swear, reading this series is exactly like watching a soap opera, if you watch any individual episode, nothing of note really happens, you just see a bunch of characters talking to each other, but if you miss an entire months worth of episodes, you'll go huh, I can't believe there's an actual storyline!
So here's the summary: yap yap yap, Neferet makes move, yap yap yap, Zoey, Heath, Stark, yap yap yap, Nefert's defeated (but only merely a setback), obligatory emotional moment. Really scraping the bottom of the barrel here. I don't even know why Hidden starts with Lenobia (as a tie in with that novella of hers, maybe?) because in terms of useless adults to provide token moral support, she's way under Thanatos and Grandma Redbird at this point and fading fast, plus, I seem to remember Awakened ends on a sort of cliffhanger involving like, I don't know, everyone else. So I carefully read about Lenobia's woes, lest I be accused of skimming, and like two meandering chapters later finally get to like a recap of the last book and still haven't hit any developments on the defeating major evil villain front. Seriously, for anyone who appreciates tight plotting, cohesive storylines, non-repetitive character development, series planned out from start to finish in advance, ugh. Ugh.
I don't even know why we even need all these characters. There are loads of perfectly good ones, like Damien, who's been shoved into the background because either 1) nobody has a clue how to further develop the character or 2) gets lost in the shuffle because the book insists we revisit people like Erik in random, pop up scenes that have nothing to do with the rest of the story. Or Dallas, who was a big deal in I don't even remember the title of the book now but is somehow still around but barely more functional now than a stain on the carpet. Either way, PICK A COUPLE OF CHARACTERS AND STICK WITH THEM. Because when the focus wasn't on minor characters and B plots, on Zoey/Heath/Stark, on rambling explanations for why Neferet is still around and hasn't been defeated yet, when Zoey and the gang are actually going up against Neferet, it's actually kinda interesting, well at least until Neferet once again somehow manages to show more signs of life than that bug on the bottom of your shoe you just squashed that just has to keep twitching. But geez, stop interrupting the actual plot with nonstories that was actually addressed (rather terribly) three books ago! It just seems to me like there wasn't enough plot and storyline for a full book so we had to be subjected to B stories about secondary characters who've long overstayed their welcome / fifteen minutes of fame.
No, this entire series has overstayed its welcome. How many different people can one evil vampire trick? How many times can the 'Vampire High Council' continue to be completely useless before vampires actually notice and drop them? How many more characters can experience change of hearts and defect from one side to the other? How many more times can Zoey and/or her friends realize something about themselves? What was the whole deal with Erebus appearing out of nowhere and then not contributing anything to the story? Yeah, you know this series is in deep trouble when Hidden is the tenth book in the series and things are happening now that should've happened or at least been foreshadowed six or seven books ago. It shouldn't have taken this long for Zoey and company to FINALLY realize their petty, annoying bickering isn't accomplishing anything and just enabling Neferet. And throughout this book, THEY'RE STILL DOING IT!!!! GRRRRR!!!!! At least Zoey learned not to keep secrets from the group at large this time, but something is telling me we haven't seen the end of even that plot. *Sigh* Can we just finally, FINALLY do something about Neferet SO THIS SERIES CAN FINALLY COME TO AN END!?!?!
At this point, short of a short story in which Neferet is violently, mercilessly, brutally bludgeoned to death thus permanently ending the series, the only thing that could possibly make this series
Tldr: WTF!!! There's going to be even more books?!?!?!? DIE ZOEY DIE!!!!!
...moreThe writing is so obnoxiously written. Teenagers do NOT act like that.
I heard there were going to be 15 books in total in this series. I really don't understand it. They could have easily taken the plot, started with it from the beginning and finished with it five books ago, minusing the abbreviations (BFF. Really?) and awful comparisons to movies/shows (True Blood, Avatar, Glee...). The last few books have been complete drags with nothing happening that is beneficial for the ending as I see it.The writing is so obnoxiously written. Teenagers do NOT act like that. Aphrodite is the most exaggerated "bitch" I have ever read about. Zoey's life is obviously perfect, though she tries to believe it otherwise by constantly repeating how awful she is at geometry and parallel parking. At least a good proportion of the male characters take a love interest with Zoey, the new, different fledgling with great powers, so like the stupid heroine she is, she decides to date every guy and is utterly heartbroken when her hot BF dumps her! Tragic!
Someone just give these authors a manual on real teenagers and situations, please.
The dialogue is poorly written. Zoey's friends are sometimes more perfect than herself and are completely useless cardboard cut outs (which, by the way, there is an excessive amount of characters to keep track of anymore). However, every single damn character is written out of perfection in this book. Except Erik, they wanted to get rid of him quickly to make room for Zoey's new love interest, Stark, so they randomly decided to make him a possessive, psycho boyfriend.
At least the cover is nice.
Why do I keep coming back to these books?

A lot of people moan and groan about the characters. They don't like the voiced dialect of Kramisha. They don't like Zoey's usage of the word "bullpoopie!" They don't like some distinct word choice from Aphrodite. For me, none of this is annoying; it just helps me to build a better picture of the characters in my head. I actually love the series characters; I love the diversity in the cast. Fortunately, for those of you who feel this way, this book takes a major step toward maturity for the young cast members.
My favorite character in the series, and this still stands strong, is Grandma Redbird. From the beginning, she has been carefree, spiritual and just overall peaceful. She makes me want to change my life and is such an inspiration. The Casts do a great job making her dance across the page.
The beginning of the series and the near-end of the series are quite like day and night (no pun intended). One thing that shines in this installment is the writing. It flows across the page. I didn't notice this in the beginning of the series, maybe due to the humorous immaturity of the characters, but it's very noticeable now that Zoey isn't the only narrator.
One thing that totally threw me off about Hidden is the fact that the entire book, 305 pages, takes place over only two or three days. This completely surprised me! It always slips my mind how many perspectives there are and how simultaneous they are. I find it cool how the Cast duo can write a book set over two days that is as interesting and gripping as this.
The climactic scenes of Hidden had me flipping pages fast enough to start a fire. I cannot recommend the House of Night series enough for readers who want an original, hilarious and ultimately engaging set of books. The House of Night books will always be dear to my heart.
...moreThis is for those of you who have made mistakes, and who are brave enough to correct them, and wise enough to learn from them.
2.5 stars. Believe it or not, that was the dedication at the front of the book. I think the Casts could probably turn their dedication back around on themselves, seeing as how they've taken the fan complaints to heart and reigned in some of the most blatant issues with House of Night.
Yes, I know. I'm still reading this trainwreck of a series. Hard to believe,

Yes, I know. I'm still reading this trainwreck of a series. Hard to believe, isn't it? Sadly, this is one of my few guilty pleasures that I can't seem to quit. Plus, it's almost over now. I have to see how it ends!
I could write a review for this book but my thoughts would mirror exactly what I said here about book 9.
Other than the always ridiculous stereotyping of Kramisha and overuse of offensive words - such as how to use retard in various forms from asstard to fucktard (really? I get that young people insult each other for fun but there couldn't have been something else to use for the sake of realism other than retard?), I seem to be mellowing out when it comes to the House of Night crew. I have to just take these books for what they are : a series full of characters who I love to hate and hate to love, along with a bunch of annoying stereotypes all wrapped up in a package of fun adventures. I may roll my eyes at times, but at least I'm not bored.
It's no secret that I've never been a fan of Zoey but I have grown fonder of Rephaim, Kalona, Stevie Ray and Aphrodite.
Aphrodite had a few of my favorite lines :
"Oh for shit's sake, who hasn't tried to kill you? Or Zoey. Or me for that matter. Get over it.
"It puts the lotion in the bucket."
I'm so happy that the twins have been split up. They're both more interesting, now that they're not fused together. One is becoming the wise sage, while the other is becoming the dark wild child :
Shaunee to Kalona : "Seems like knowing how many kids you have is a good place to start in the whole I'd-like-to-be-a-good-dad-thing." Erin goes girls-gone-wild : "Sounds good to me. I like wearing nothing but water." Erin peeled off her thong. Now all she had on were her Christian Louboutin boots. She ran her hands all over her body with the water. "Wanta get wet with me?"Hey, I've already accepted that this series is ridiculously immature, yet it still somehow manages to be extremely sexually charged at the same time. It took me a while to get to this point of acceptance, but if we're going to get this contradiction of writing styles, then I'm gonna milk my money's worth in the bizarre-pendulum-of-behavior department.

I don't love this series but I don't actually hate this its just in the middle for me and I wanted to know how it will end so I continue on reading this series and right know I'm just waiting for this book HIDDEN and I do hope it will end in here cause honestly I'm getting bored at it the only reason I'm still reading this is because of STARK!!!I'm really team STARK! And as for ZOEY i hate her!!!! I hated how every freaking Guy in the series is drooling over her.I hated the fact that she keeps insisting on being irritated at HEATH in the beggining but also claiming that for her he is her soulmate or whatever. Why can't she just be true to herself? If she's a slut then fine be a slut! at least she admits it but no she keeps on making herself the pretty delicate flower who doesn't want anyone to get hurt.
I also hate her because she keeps on giving STARK false hopes that she truly love him.....yeah their together now but stupid HEATH is back and I'm sure she'll do everything to help him and in the process STARK's feelings will be hurt...
And for the record the worst character I hate I'm my entire life is stupid HEATH.....I hate everything about him!! He just makes my blood boil whenever I think of his name..... I hate him cause he have this.....Oh I'm so strong I can do anything for ZOEY......attidude that I so much despise I wanted to gag..... and oh you have no idea how happy I was when he finally!finally!!!died!!! I'm like OH MY GOD AT LAST HE'S DEAD!! But no the author is trying to kill me cause he brought him back!! Doesn't matter if he's. AUROX now, for me he's still stupid HEATH!!!! And I swear I'll curse thus book if he and ZOEY end up together and they leave my beloved STARK alone and miserable!!!

Now, I've been doing predictions for all my new series. Each time, I come up with fifteen "prophecies" that I think must happen in the new novel. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't, but I'm becoming known for them, so I think I'll do predictions for Hidden. Here we go!
Also, this fanfic about Hidden is amazing! Some of the events within are inspiration for these predictions. The link is here: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/7587737/1...
1) There will almost certainly be a Zoey/Stark/Aurox triangle. Zoey knows that Aurox is Heath, so there's going to be some romantic development between them. There might come a point where Zoey chooses, or maybe PC will save that for a later book. I just know there's going to be a triangle. Z's final triangle, let's hope. Even I was starting to think she was a slut.
2) Someone important to the story will die, 'cause PC's been killing off characters left and right recently, and I'm reeeeeally hoping, like everyone's been telling me, that it won't be Lenobia. She's one of my favorite characters, and I loved Lenobia's Vow, so I'm hoping it won't be her that PC gives the axe.
3) We'll see Erin and possibly Damien's point of view. We've got to see why Erin's "ice" as Shaunee described it, what happened to her to make her so cold inside. And I think Damien's point of view would be good as we haven't had any of his point of view yet.
4) The nuns will make a grand return! Since they haven't been mentioned since Tempted, this is a highly unlikely possibility, but maybe they'll come back, at least Sister Mary Angela. That would be a good plot twist.
5) Thanatos and Kalona will get together. I mean, Kalona pledged his Warrior's Oath to her in Destined, so it's obvious PC is creating a Thalona relationship here (or Kanatos?).
6) There could be a Thanatos/Kalona/Nyx triangle. I mean, we see Kalona thinking about Nyx all the time, so it's obvious he still loves her, but does she return that love? And how is a vampyre Priestess going to compete with a Goddess? That triangle would be pretty interesting. Hey, maybe it'll be a love square, if you throw Erebus in the mix.
7) We might see Erebus for the first time! That would sure be an interesting plot twist. He's had a small role in previous books, but if PC gave him a bigger role I'd love it, if he was a good character.
8) We'll find out that Travis is the reincarnation of Martin, Lenobia's lover when she was human- and Consort when she was Marked. This would be an amazing twist. It's been hinted at in Destined, and Lenobia's Vow made me see some connections between the characters.
9) This one ties into the previous one. Lenobia and Travis will get together. PC all but told us in a blog post. "Lenobia's Vow fans will be very happy with what happens with Travis and Lenobia!" Yeah, thanks for telling us, PC! I actually love Travis as a character, and agree that he'd be a great boyfriend/Consort for Lenobia.
10) Kalona's going to have some struggles with his job as Death's Warrior. This isn't really a prediction, as it was part of the first released blurb, but I think the troubles will be fledglings not trusting him, and him having to open up to them to get them to like him. Maybe he'll even bring the Raven Mockers to our side and have Nyx turn all of them human. I'm hoping the Warrior's Oath means he chose Light, because I reaaaaally love me some Kalona.
11) This book could see us back in Italy at the site of the Vampyre High Council, and maybe even back on Skye! That would be an interesting storyline. Maybe Zoey has to return to Skye for Sgiach's help with the rest of the gang; it was hinted at in Destined when the High Council pales at the idea of Sgiach opening up to outsiders. And I think it's almost certain that we'll go to San Clemente Island again for Neferet's punishment. Then she'll pull some epic villainous stuff that will have us reeling for the next one, and going back to reread the climax.
12) More Stephaim development, and a deeper relationship between Stevie Rae and Kalona (father-daughter, of course). That would be amazing! If Stevie Rae likes Kalona, that's a solvent for their recent arguments. So PC, Stevie Rae should like Kalona.
13) Possibly an Imprint between Zoey and Aurox? The question mark because I don't know if that's possible (remember when Becca tried to drink from Aurox, and she screamed that he didn't taste right? Maybe his blood isn't for consumption. Or maybe it's just because he's so Dark and once he chooses Light, he'll have normal blood. Or maybe because his blood is completely new, something no vampyre has ever before tasted.) But I'm hoping it does happen.
14) Shaunee and Erin will squash the argument and become Twins again. I think we all want to see an amazing Twin heart-to-heart where they both cry out their secrets.
15) Shaylin's going to step up and join the main circle. I've seen a lot of rumors of this online, and I think that it's true. True Sight is supposed to be important in the next book, so obviously Shaylin is going to be important. I wonder why?
That's it for my predictions, guys! Can't wait till October! See you then with the review! (I'll post the excerpts, too, as PC and Kristin put them online. I know there'll be excerpts.)
Hey, have you guys heard anything new about the House of Night movie? Comment below if you have! ~ UPDATE: read ~ oh my goddess, HIDDEN was Amazing with a capital A. From the moment I picked it up it captured me. Some of my predictions were right, some wrong. I didn't expect the ending with Neferet or Erin and Dallas, but I probably should've seen it coming. Zoey finally realizing she's too young for this was a nice touch. Stark was kinda wooden in this one though. The best part of HIDDEN = Aurox. He was epic! I loved how he wanted to be on the side of Light so bad. It was so sad when Zoey kept rejecting him. When everyone realizes he's Heath, the story changes a little. I think Zoey couldn't handle it. Grandma Redbird was pretty epic in this one, too. The way she accepted Aurox when no one else would had me crying. Stevie Rae and Rephaim lagged a little but they were still pretty cute. I'm surprised Stark still doesn't know about his connection to Kalona. Shaylin was another amazing character, as well as Shaunee and Erik. Lenobia and Travis were so cute together. <3 All in all, HIDDEN surpassed my expectations. Can't wait for REVEALED!

Zoey and the gang are back at the House of Night trying to pick up the pieces from everything that happened at the end of the last book. And surprise, deal with all the new...and old problems that are cropping up!This book, this series, makes me feel like this:
Everything is frustrating! The plot, the characters, the writing...some things are better and some things are worse. And some of the things that were better are worse again. But the very bottom line is that this series has it's hooks in me and I just have to keep reading. Thank goodness there are only two more books left.
For once, Zoey didn't really bother me (besides the "snot" issues, that is). I think she's growing up...or at least trying to. Thanatos has a lot to do with that. She has really been a guiding hand to almost everyone in the group.
The group is doing a lot better besides the twin drama. Speaking of twin drama...What in the heck was up with the strip show?? Was that even necessary?? Total opposite is Aphrodite...I'm really surprised at how much more mature she has become. Stark still has his moments though especially with being jealous. The new fledgling, Shaylin, has added quite a lot to the group even though it took her a while to understand things.
My one major complaint as always is Erik. Why can't they cut him a break? He went from hunky, popular guy and Zoey's love to uber creep and now he has to be creepy, lecherous teacher?? All I have to say is that the authors must really hate him.
I did like how the authors treated Aurox even though I hate the Heath aspect. It was interesting to see him fight to be good even if it is a recurring theme.
I'm still not quite sure about Kalona but I did feel better for him after this book. I'm really curious as to how he will continue to redeem himself. I still really loved all the moments between him and Rephaim even though we really didn't get much of Rephaim.
There really isn't much romance in this book. We did get some really sweet moments from Lenobia and Travis and even from Damien and Adam but nothing really from Zoey. I have no idea who she will be with. It certainly does seem that Stark is the one but I'm just not feeling it. I would hate for anything to come out of her and Aurox especially at this late time.
The drama wasn't all that intense in this book and it only makes you wonder how they are going to set up things for the grand finale. Some things are going to have to go crazy in the next book and it seems as if the "other" red vampyres/fledglings will be involved. As far as Neferet goes, it was intriguing how Grandma Redbird seemed to be getting through to her. I will not be a happy camper if they redeem her but I am looking forward to seeing how it all plays out.

My suspicions are starting to be pretty right.
Since the previous book I saw that the story wasn't going forward, nothing was happening until the very last chapter and this book is exactly the same.
I'm so pissed because I hate filler books, especially if the first ones were very good and exciting.
Why? I think it's way better a shorter series packed with events and action that, even if it takes less time to finish, will remain with you for al long time for how good it was instead of a series of 10+ years that has ups and downs and after all the waiting and all the pages that you read, you are so disappointed that you just want it to be over. Not good.
And I'm not talking about 100 pages filler books but these last two have nearly 400 lol
Nothing happens, seriously, nothing. I don't even know what to talk about in here because there's nothing to talk about.
We start with a reprise of what happened in the last one and then it's an infinite description of what is happening and what they are doing and blablabla until the last chapter where everything happens and then once again it's abruptly cut, to probably restart all over again with the next one. I'm not giving up, I'm too close to the end and despite everything I know too well these characters and with time I got attached to some of them and I just want to know what will happen to them. But that's it, I'm not excited because I have two more books to go till the big finale, I'm finally seeing instead the light that I'm close to its end.
But then I started hating it when all that happened was:
ohmy*goddess*, i'm soooo totally freaking out because i dont kno if i should pick the guy i want to eat or not, and i am totally wastin tym over it and by the time i realiz that, he's already dead so i kil myself and let every1 worry abt me and 500million guyz trip over me wyl i spend tym wid a dead guy. but no worriez, bcoz there are looots of guys
At first, I liked the series. Really, I did. It was probably this belief that kept me going. But then I started hating it when all that happened was:

And all I could do then was
Because I could not WAIT to hear the end of Zoe's long-time whining about what and who she should do. I mean, seriously? Her 'bumpkin' best friend gets more action and is obviously so much more interesting. The main character is just...a big, horrible slip-up that I choose to ignore. Every. Single. Time. Apart from her, the story is great. I just can't wait for the time when I finally get to the end (I mean, I've endured this much, why not?)

Dude people need to shut the hell up about how Z needs to die this and Grandma Redbird needs to die that. I mean really if you don't like the books don't read it and don't post on here about how you "HATE" or "Dislike" the books cause if I were the authors and people were talking crap about my books I would hunt them down and kill them but then again that's me. Why do I feel such an obligation to finish this series? I think this a surefire way to earn money, even though most of these books are shit - write a few good books at the beginning, dig your hooks into the reader, and then throw them off of a cliff.
It hurts my insides thinking about how I'm actually going to buy this books when it comes out. I don't want to read these books anymore, but I have to. Its like when you come home, and there's this giant plate of cheesecake waiting for you, and you know that you shouldn't eat it, but do anyway, and then feel horrible afterwards - all because you realize that the cake was full of poison and was planted there, and now you're going to die.
I honestly think it should be classified as some kind of syndrome, considering how many people feel the same way. If there was a movie, documenting my time reading these books, it should be titled "The Cheescake Chronicles" just because these books are full of
Plus the movie would just go on forever, because I'm figuring that this series will never end. I actually have a prediction for the last book, if you don't mind me spoling some things (because I can read P.C Casts mind).

Why isn't this the end?!? There was a solution - though kind of easy and lame - but an opportunity for closure. Why does it have to be dragged out for two more books?!?I actually liked this book more than the last because I liked the way it started. Lenobia has always been interesting to me, though she was always in the background, and I really liked that I got to see more of her, who she was, how she became who she is and her path to finding happiness. But that story was short-lived, and she disappeared for the rest of the book, with the exception of a short appearance in the middle and a surface glimpse at the end.
As for the rest of the book? Nothing really happened except for the last few chapters in the book. I just hate that the latter half of this series has been the general template of dragging out the "build-up" for the final showdown at the end of each book.
And Zoey Redbird's "I'm tired of people talking about my boy issues." Me too, girl, me too. I hate that Stark is not as swoon-worthy as when we first met him - and kind of a pathetic tag-along consort that I feel Zoey is kind of settling with. I hate that Eric, who was made to be so great before (through Loren and all) is being portrayed as a lost jerk. And I hate that everyone is still hung up on Heath. Did they forget that he cheated on her with her best friend at the beginning of the book? I'm sorry, but there are enough guys to go around.
Yeah, I'm really getting tired of this series. But even more tired that it's basically the same ol' same ol' that's being dragged out, again and again. What did they say in the book, "the never ending battle against darkness."

To be 100% honest with you. I have long stopped caring about the characters and the plots of the House of Night series. The main character Zoey Redbird is a big fat Mary Sue, and even up to this book it doesn't change. In the book, people are all either acting out of character or acting like a fool, I always have to suppress my disbelief when people are making the most out of place and/or stupidest choices, trusting the most untrustworthy people but somehow, EVERY DECISION THEY MADE EVENTUALLY WORK OUT WELL! My goodness.
As to the villain Neferet, 10 books into the series she's still one hell of a boring, annoying and unworthy villain. She is so shallow, she has no insight of her own, she is evil only for the sake of being evil. She's one hell of an empty shell for a villain. Plus if she were as powerful, terrifying and evil as the Casts would have us believe, Neferet should have long started a reign of terror and made everyone's life miserable already!
Take my words, the only way I can come out okay with the HON series is to shut down my brain whenever I read one of those books in the series.
